"My posse's on Broadway!" Taken soon after their debut album SWASS blew up, this was done for the now defunct local music monthly The Rocket, the first of many covers I would do for them .

Seattle has a long and venerable hip history, mostly overshadowed by the giant legacy of grunge, and to me it doesn't get any more O.G. or real than this. Mix was the Seattle pioneer and set the stage for things to come in the local hip hop scene. And to top it all off, he's a really nice guy, humble, helping, and modest.

Mix and his posse are posing in front of the historic Drive-in Dick's, a Seattle chain that was founded in 1954. The Broadway location here was their second, and has been an anchor of the Capitol Hill neighborhood and its main drag Broadway since 1955.
