Virtual Photograph

I created this in the summer of 2020, during pandemic lockdowns, political and social unrest, and hellacious wildfires in California that turned our skies completely orange. My life was turned upside down - filmmaking opportunities I fought for years to acquire were stripped from me, I lost my apartment & moved in with family, my business contacts were shattered and depression had clutched my mind once again.

Using only my laptop, I was able to build the basics of a virtual, cinematic scene and escape the physical reality around me. Once again, I was able to shoot and imagine and shape light in a way that resonated with my soul. It was a sliver of freedom and hope in a dark time.
