Mama Sara, mother of maize. A loving and compassionate goddess who is also a powerful protector. She is a generous goddess who gives her gifts freely, but she can also be wrathful if her people do not show her the proper respect.
Pious and beautiful, she was turned into a sheaf of corn by the Sun god Inti to protect her from a lecherous priest. Respected for her gifts of fertility, Mama Sara is also associated with death and rebirth.
