Surfing is a thrilling yet meditative experience. Despite the adrenaline rush one gets while riding a wave, it feels blissfully calm, as though nothing matters anymore. You can taste the sea, feel the wind and feel yourself ebb and flow with the wave.

That is the emotion I wanted to capture through this image. The birds-eye view of the shot draws attention to the pleasing contrast of the clear turquoise waters, the milky waves, and the surfer in between. Much like the contrasting emotions.
