Welcome to the Land of Stone, the harsh desolate landscape is filled with coldness and jagged slate slabs. Nothing lives here, nothing moves.
Any heat is pulled through the thin atmosphere and lost into space, the sun never rises, nighttime never ends. The only indication of time is when watching the stars transition across the cold sky.
This is a shot from my favorite valley in New Zealand, there have been nights when I've felt quite similar to the fantasy piece of writing above, feeling like the sun will never rise again.
