Over time, I've incorporated more and more movement and visuals into my photography; however, I want to return to my roots of adding subtle animations so that the image appears very much a still image.
Jo Seonok marks my return to that initial style.
I like to name pieces after the locations portrayed in each photograph, in this case, Jo Seonok is the name of a Korean restaurant that has been at this location for over 70 years.
The rain was strong, but the night was silent, and only the sounds of droplets permeated the streets of Seoul, South Korea. The woman walks home after an arduous day at work, turning around after sensing someone nearby. Darkness only, until the flash of lightning illuminates a man with a camera, it is me.
