This artwork was created for the exhibition "I am..." powered by Gxrls Revolution and Jean-Michel Pailhon.
It's an improvisation with ancient Persian miniature paintings, using multimedia techniques, in order to narrate a new story.
It’s a tribute to all the Iranian women, throughout the history. The patriarchy and dictatorship of this regime has oppressed women for more than a century through the justification of religious reasons and they’ve tried to create a certain mindset for the women according to which, their individual identity and sexuality is shaped through certain criteria that serve the dictators the best.
Hopefully the situation is changing, despite all the adversities…
