This photo was taken Feb 9th 2017 on a freezing cold sunrise, a day after a major snow storm in NYC.

It was my second attempt at shooting the Central Park Divide from an open door helicopter and it was on my bucketlist to get an image of it in the snow. I have to say the city looks like a beautiful magical ice palace from above and on the ground after it snows.

This is one of my most favorite photographs that I have ever taken and I almost lost my nerve to go on this flight. I had to really focus to calm my nerves for this one. When we were up in the air I have to say I was not prepared for the extreme cold either. By the time we reached this location I couldn't feel my fingers, I had no idea whether my finger was squeezing the trigger or not, I couldn't even hear the shutter.

So when I saw I got it in my camera after we landed I knew all of the extreme cold and nerves I had to endure was worth it!
