My wife had undiagnosed preeclampsia during her pregnancy and suffered postpartum eclampsia and a stroke. As a result she is now permanently disabled with chronic central neuropathic pain, POTS, and a list of other issues. She is limited in her engagement with our son which creates a burden of guilt on her conscience. What she provides in a motherly sense of love, structure, emotional support, and guidance to our son is unmatched. She is a phenomenal mother and has a beautiful bond with our child. I capture these brief moments between them to document their bond, their love, their connection. She was his first home.
