Magpie and soldier photo was taken at Atatürk's mausoleum, the founder of Turkish Republic, in Ankara. I went to Anıtkabir to take pictures and saw magpies imitating soldiers. The magpie is the most intelligent and imitative animal in the world. I waited for a while to take photo of soldiers and magpies together. But I failed because when people came near to the soldiers, the magpie went away.Later that day, I took two separate photographs of soldiers and magpies in the same place. Then I created this photo from these two separate photos.
This photo was deemed worthy to be exhibited in the 16th FIAP World Cup Clubs 2021, in which the Turkish team was ranked 15th. Soldier and Magpie was awarded with the achievement award in experimental category of the '19th State Photo Contest' in Turkey.It has been published for a long time on many famous social media pages in Turkey and in the world.
