Description

This digital painting depicts the reincarnation of Girra, the god of fire and light, who was involved in many Mesopotamians' daily activities. While Girra plays an important role in purification rituals, he is fearsome because of his reputation as destructive fire that made him responsible for burning and destroying fields in Mesopotamia. Girra was worshiped as a Babylonian and Akkadian god but originally derived from Gibil, the ancient Sumerian god.

Inspirations:
The main inspiration is to depict the greatness and magnificence of Girra with his wrath and fury simultaneously. While originally depicted as a male god, this illustration depicts Girra as a hybrid male-female and human-animal creature. This series tries to revive the forgotten mythologies of the Middle East.

Ancient Aliens Series (4K animation + audio):
This series focuses on ten lesser-known mythologies in the Middle East where many mythological creatures became a reality and shaped different cultures for centuries.
