42nd St. is a 2D collage now an NFT. There are multiple layers of individual photographs. While walking around the city, I would take photos of urban textures, like subway walls and construction site facades. I went through my collection of photographs and layered pieces of them into the collage. To give the collage dimensions and depth and painted over it combining techniques. Hand-painted layers give the work depth and an abstract expressionist structure. Growing up in New York, I was influenced by abstract expressionists like Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns, who use physical elements in their collage works. I work digitally using photoshop to render and layer in my work.
